Original Mibera (Phase 8)

Chen Hongshou inspired with opium poppy and yin yang overlay
[view source]Cultural Context
Chen Hongshou (1598–1652) was a late Ming dynasty painter known for figure paintings with elongated, stylized forms. "Preparing the Elixir Beneath a Pine" depicts Daoist alchemical practice — the pursuit of immortality through elixirs. Opium has deep historical ties to China, culminating in the Opium Wars (1839–1860). Yin yang is the Chinese philosophical concept of complementary duality — opposing forces that are interconnected.

[view source]Justification
Ancestors are a load-bearing trait in the Mibera system — each of the 10,000 Miberas inherits an ancestor as their cultural lineage. The ancestor grails represent each lineage as its own identity.
