Water is one of the four classical elements in Western philosophy, featured in the cosmologies of Thales, Empedocles, and Aristotle. It represents fluidity, emotion, and the unconscious. In Chinese wu xing, water (shui) is associated with wisdom and adaptability; in Hindu philosophy, apas embodies purification and flow. Across cultures, water symbolizes the depths of feeling, intuition, and the cyclical nature of life.
