Fire is one of the four classical elements in Western philosophy, central to the cosmologies of Heraclitus, Empedocles, and Aristotle. It represents transformation, energy, and creative destruction. In Chinese wu xing, fire (huo) governs expansion and illumination; in Hindu philosophy, agni is both the sacrificial flame and the digestive fire within. Across traditions, fire symbolizes passion, willpower, and the spark of change.
