References the James Zhong case. In 2012, Zhong exploited a withdrawal glitch on the Silk Road dark web marketplace to steal over 50,000 Bitcoin (worth ~$600 at the time). He hid the private keys on a single-board computer stashed inside a Cheetos popcorn tin in his bathroom closet. When the FBI seized it in 2021, the Bitcoin was worth over $3.4 billion. Zhong was sentenced to one year in prison in 2023.
