Bearyphus is a named character from the Bong Bears collection, a bear-pun take on Sisyphus, the figure from Greek mythology condemned by the gods to eternally roll a boulder uphill only to watch it roll back down. The absurdist philosopher Albert Camus famously reimagined Sisyphus as a symbol of human perseverance, concluding "one must imagine Sisyphus happy."
