[view source]Cultural Context
The absence of tattoos is itself a meaningful choice in a collection where body art serves as a cultural signal. In many traditions, unmarked skin carries its own significance -- in some communities it signals youth, in others purity or social conformity. The deliberate inclusion of a 'no tattoos' option ensures the trait system can represent characters for whom body modification is not part of their cultural expression.
