[view source]Cultural Context

Drooling depicts involuntary saliva escaping the mouth, associated in character art with extreme desire, mindlessness, or being so overwhelmed by stimulation that basic motor control slips. The expression bridges the gap between the comedic and the visceral, suggesting a state where the body overrides the mind.
