Oasis was the defining Britpop band of the 1990s, fronted by the Gallagher brothers from Manchester. Their cultural impact coincided exactly with the acid house and rave explosion in the UK, and the overlap between indie and dance music scenes in Manchester (the "Madchester" movement) was one of the most significant musical crossovers of the era. A trucker cap variant references the band's working-class roots.
