Reimu Hakurei is the main character from the Touhou Project, a series of Japanese bullet hell games that became a massive fandom and creative community. The "Syndicate" addition reflects the post-ironic internet culture practice of turning anime references into pseudo-corporate or pseudo-criminal branding. Reimu's influence on Milady culture is direct — Remilia Corporation itself is named after another Touhou character.
