Kai Whiston’s upbringing in the New Age Traveller community. Set in Shaftesbury, Dorset, it traces the grassroots, neo-hippy rave scene led by groups like Spiral Tribe in the 1980s and 1990s, against Thatcher’s Britain. It also touches on folkloric traditions inspiring modern “rave mysticism” in electronic music.
