Original Mibera (Phase 8)

Aphrodite as Pisces with Neptune trident and Birth of Venus
[view source]Cultural Context
Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love and beauty. In one origin myth, Aphrodite and her son Eros transformed into fish to escape the monster Typhon — the two fish swimming in opposite directions became the Pisces symbol. The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli (c. 1485) depicts the goddess emerging from the sea. Pisces is ruled by Neptune, god of the sea, whose trident is the sign's most common secondary symbol.
[view source]Visual Elements
